A car driven by a Canje nurse slammed into the Welfare Community Centre fence on Saturday after the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle.
The nurse, identified as Phylis Samaroo of Cane-field Village, East Canje, was driving her car, PWW 2070, allegedly at a fast rate of speed on the Canje public road when she reportedly lost control and slammed into the fence.
According to eyewitnesses, Samaroo “clipped another car” and then swerved into the fence. There was another person in the car at the time of the accident, the eyewitnesses said.
Stabroek News was told that none of the occupants of the car sustained any injuries in the crash. However, a large portion of the fence was damaged.
