Daniel Watson, a mason accused of uttering a fake driver’s licence to the police, was granted bail on Friday after he denied the charge.
Watson, of 1139 Bare Root, Bachelor’s Adventure, East Coast Demerara, was arraigned before Senior Magistrate Leron Daly on Friday when he pleaded not guilty to the charge of uttering a fake driver’s licence to the police.
It is alleged that on November 7, 2019, at Georgetown, with intent to defraud, he uttered to police corporal 10779 Walcott, of Traffic Headquarters, Eve Leary, a forged motor vehicle driver’s licence, #14890211147, in favour of himself, purporting to show that same was issued by the Guyana Revenue Authority and knowing same to be forged.
Following a not guilty plea, he was released on $25,000 bail and advised to make his next court appearance on May 8.
