The Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company (GTT) says it has arranged for over $1M in care hampers to be given to cancer patients and care providers at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC).
“The fact that cancer patients are often immune compromised means that they may be at higher risk of health complications from COVID-19. Thus, it is important that cancer patients and care providers adopt the necessary practices that will help to reduce or prevent their chances of contracting the infection,” said Diana Gittens, GTT’s Pinktober Coordinator.
