Barbadians stuck in Guyana have to await resumption of flights to return home –Gouveia

Barbadians stuck in Guyana due to COVID-19 travel restrictions currently have to wait until clearance is given for flights to resume, according to Consulate of Barbados Gerry Gouveia.

In a telephone interview with Sunday Stabroek, Gouveia said that while there are Barbadians who want to be repatriated, they will have to wait until LIAT can fly again return home.

Tyrone Applewhaite of Christ Church, Barbados, told this newspaper yesterday that he has been making attempts to leave the country since March 18 to return home.
