A woman is in custody after a gun was discovered at a Region Three property where she was present.
The Regional Commander, Assistant Commissioner Simon Mc Bean, confirmed to Sunday Stabroek that the weapon and several other items were discovered at the property during an intelligence-led operation just after 4 pm.
According to Mc Bean, three men who were also at the property at the time of the operation eluded capture.
Reports are that the weapon recovered was a single-barrel shotgun, which had been reported stolen from the home of a Vreed-en-Hoop businessman on April 20, 2020.
Investigations are continuing.
