Dear Editor,
The pandemic that we are currently facing has adverse effects on us both financially and mentally. Focusing on the financial aspect, I would like to bring to light how some landlords are taking advantage of the situation at hand. Yes, I do understand that everyone has to get their form of income at this ever so trying time but having to provide for your family in addition to paying a hefty amount of rent for your business is extremely difficult. With prices rising on your basic necessities coupled with not being able to work, begs the question of how? How will we be able to take care of our families plus pay rent to a rigid landlord? I am a young business owner who is fearful of losing their business and is pleading to the Government for assistance as not all landlords are considerate.
