With Sophia found to be one of the COVID-19 hotspots in Central Georgetown, the Ministry of Public Health’s COVID-19 mobile sample collection unit is stationed in the area this weekend to conduct a COVID screening exercise. The Department of Public Information (DPI) yesterday said Dr. Keon Harmon, who heads the mobile unit, explained that persons who visit the unit will first be screened to see if they qualify as high-risk. If they meet the criteria for testing, samples will be collected and sent to the National Public Health Reference Laboratory for testing. The unit, which conducted screenings yesterday, will be in the area today between 9am and 3pm. In photo, Dr. Harmon is seen in protective equipment at the screening booth. (DPI photo)
