The Covid-19 restrictions have left businesses facing revenue crises, causing them to operate on overdrafts, as they try to stay afloat and John Lewis Styles is one of those.
John Lewis, managing head of the Waterloo Street clothing store, told Stabroek News that the company took a big hit in its revenue. He said the company is presently operating on overdraft, as he strives to make ends meet without surrendering to the closure of the store.
He explained that in March, during the period of Guyana’s elections, revenue fell by at least 40%, due to business operations being on and off.
