(Trinidad Express) A Maraval man is expected to appear before a Port of Spain Magistrate tomorrow charged with the NY 12 murder of his brother, Atilola Josiah Herod.
Stephen Linton 25, of Paramin Village, Maraval, was charged with the offence following advice received from Director of Public Prosecutions, Roger Gaspard.
Herod, 20, also of Paramin Village, Maraval, was asleep at his home when a male relative entered his bedroom and hit him several blows to the head with a piece of iron before running off. He died at the scene.
Linton was arrested by officers of the Western Division in connection with the incident on that same date and handed over to Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI) Region 1, officers.
The charge was laid by PC Callendar of HBI, Region 1.
