THAG gifts tour packages to 113 health workers

As part of the recent commemoration of International Day of the Nurse, the Tourism and Hospitality Association of Guyana (THAG) has gifted 88 nurses and 25 doctors the opportunity to enjoy fine dining or recuperation at one of Guyana’s tourism destinations.

In a recent press release, THAG said, “In spite of the challenges of COVID-19, the tremendous strain and time away from their families, our health care providers remain resolute in keeping us safe and their efforts to mitigate the spread of this dreadful virus. We say thank you for all that you continue to do.”

As a demonstration of its gratitude, THAG along with its members will be bestow complimentary vouchers to the Guyana Medical Council and Guyana Nurses’ Association. These two organizations will be tasked with randomly selecting the 113 health care workers who will be the recipients of these vouchers, which are for use once the current health crisis is resolved.
