An 11th death as a result of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) was disclosed today and the Department of Public Information identified the victim as fifty-nine-year-old Vincent Torres of the Moruca Sub Region in Barima-Waini.
The death was revealed during the Ministry of Public Health’s daily COVID-19 update by Public Health Minister, Volda Lawrence, who gave no further information.
DPI in a statement last evening said that Torres died on Friday evening as a result of COVID-19 complications. He tested positive for the virus after he checked into the Kumaka District hospital complaining of feeling unwell and displaying signs of the virus.
