With 84% of the ballot boxes from the March 2nd general elections tabulated as of yesterday, the PPP/C had tallied 187,549 votes compared to 174,499 for APNU+AFC, a lead of 13,050 votes.
As of today, all counting stations will be dedicated to recounting the remaining ballots of District Four, which has 324 boxes outstanding, Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) Commissioner Sase Gunraj said yesterday.
There are two boxes from District 6 and District 10 waiting to be counted. These two boxes will be completed at some point during the morning thereby paving the way for all work stations to continue the recount of ballots from District Four.
