An Xpress Delivery Service delivery man was held at gunpoint and robbed of his motorcycle and other valuables at Congress Drive, South Ruimveldt Park yesterday morning.
The attack occurred at 10.20 am as the delivery man was making his way out of the street after making a drop at a house along Congress Drive. He was pounced upon by two men, both of whom were armed.
The men relieved the rider of his cellular phones, a quantity of cash and his motorcycle, CK 4139.
The attack was captured by a surveillance camera from a nearby house.
In the footage, which was seen by Stabroek News, it was noticed that as the delivery man unknowingly approached the bandits, a scuffle began. The delivery man was then held at gunpoint and relieved of his valuables.
The bandits then escaped on the motorcycle.
Following the attack, the delivery man ventured back to the customers house where he contacted his employer and the police.
