Dear Editor,
I refer to the statement that because the organization was not consulted collectively some members have distanced themselves from a news article condemning attacks on a Caribbean female prime minister (‘Not a WGEC decision’ SN July 4).
This position parallels that taken in another matter because a formal declaration has not been made therefore the incumbent cannot concede.
Are the members who distanced themselves from the news article in fact condoning and standing in solidarity with the attack on the prime minister?
Yours faithfully,
Shamshun Mohamed
