De facto Public Health Minister, Volda Lawrence says that healthcare workers suffer “excruciating torments” whenever they came up short in providing critical services for their patients especially those needing medical care for COVID-19.
“Healthcare workers bear a lot of emotional and mental stress due to their inability to provide the necessary services for patients. Many persons do not understand the impact it has on healthcare workers when they have someone’s life in their hands and do not have the necessary equipment which will help in saving those lives,” Lawrence was quoted as saying.
