(Trinidad Express) Police are searching for a criminal who raped a woman and forced her boyfriend into disturbing sexual acts at Valencia on Thursday.
The victims, both 25 years old, were on a hike at Cumaca Road, when they were attacked while walking the trail around 11 a.m.
Ten minutes into their trek, a man wearing a black mask confronted them with a firearm.
He ordered the couple to walk to a nearby river where he robbed them of their cell phones and cash.
The criminal demanded that the couple have sex in his presence.
He then placed a cutlass at the woman’s throat and raped her.
After the attack, the man ran off and escaped.
The couple made their way to the Valencia police station and reported the incident.
They were taken to the Sangre Grande Hospital and treated.
