The MovieTowne Guyana Mall is due to reopen its doors on August 1st, after being closed for approximately three months following COVID-19 restrictions.
Branch Manager Rochelle Parasram yesterday confirmed the plans to reopen following a post made on the mall’s Facebook page.
She said they are hoping to have some form of entertainment for the reopening but was unable to confirm the details since they are still working around what will be permitted.
Additionally, Parasram explained that they are still in the early stages of planning, but the reopening will cater to the businesses allowed to operate, including the food court.
She noted that safety rules and guidelines will be put in place and while concessionaires were made aware of the decision, everyone is still at a preparation stage.
