Bandits this afternoon shot and killed a 23- year-old resident of Middle Road, La Penitence during a suspected robbery.
The dead man has been identified as Navindra Samaroo, a marketing agent.
He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
The deceased’s father told Stabroek News that a bag that was in Samaroo’s possession was missing. This has led them to suspect he was killed in a robbery.
Police have launched an investigation.
