The driver of the motor car which was involved in the accident along the Montrose Public Road, East Coast Demerara on Saturday which claimed the life of Trevor Mangal is still in police custody.
Police Commander of Region 4C Royston Andries-Junor yesterday informed Stabroek News that the driver remains in police custody as the investigation continues.
Mangal, 40 of Lot 52 Industry, Crown Dam died on Saturday afternoon after the motorcar in which he was travelling was involved in a crash. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH).
A post-mortem examination yesterday revealed that Mangal died as a result of multiple injuries consistent with a motor vehicle accident.
The accident occurred around 5.30pm. At the time, Mangal was the occupant of a car, PXX 2522.
