Dear Editor,
As I am typing this email to you, mosquitos are sucking me alive and I’m sweating profusely. It’s 9:36pm Wednesday 29th July and for over almost 2 hours now the electricity here in Wismar, Linden controlled by the LUSCSL is off (we’re experiencing a severe blackout).
This has been happening consistently for the past several months now, these people have been greatly oppressing us switching the lights on and off almost every single day, while they themselves enjoy a smooth flow of electricity at their homes located mostly in Mackenzie, Linden.
I really desire for you to please consider looking into this matter with great urgency and help us, we really need your help, we really need a very great reputable company such as yours to help give us a voice against this oppression. Right now I’m really hungry, because there’s no electricity and I do not have a gas tank to make my dinner. I may have to starve tonight and it’s a shame that we have to go through this in 2020. It’s unfair, we pay our bills and this is what they’re doing to us. How bad could their systems be that they cannot have it fixed and give us smooth uninterrupted electricity like people of the Mackenzie side experience? Again I beg of you like a little child please, look into this for us please, give us a voice so we could let this company know that we feel the oppression very badly and that we’re fed up of this nonsense they’re doing to us. Every time this happens it makes me feel less happy being a Guyanese because this company makes millions of dollars from utility bills and they’re failing miserably.
I’m out of words and very heartbroken by the Guyanese operating and controlling this company. In tears of shame I typed this to you because I left a beautiful country to come home to my own only to have to constantly experience this nonsense.
Yours faithfully,
C Hector
