The body of a twenty-two-year-old man was yesterday morning found at the Crane Housing Scheme ball field entrance after leaving home to graze his sheep.
He was found with multiple stabs wounds about his body.
The man has been identified as Darrel James of Lot 79 Crane Housing Scheme, West Coast Demerara.
According to Police Commander of Region Three, Simon McBean, the deceased was found with what appeared to be stab wounds to the right side of his temple, chin, neck and two stab wounds to his abdomen.
Investigations revealed that James left his home around 8.30am yesterday to graze a flock of sheep. His body was found by passers-by an hour later. James was rushed to the West Demerara Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
His body is currently at Ezekiel’s Funeral Home awaiting a post-mortem examination.
No one has been arrested.
