Five Americas federations qualified for division three when the curtain fell on the final day of division four pool play of the 2020 FIDE Online Olympiad.
Suriname and Puerto Rico were the first to grab qualifying spots from Pool D when they placed second and third to Angola. Not making it past division three from Pool D were Netherlands Antilles and Haiti who were fifth and sixth.
Pool E was an all-Americas affair, with the first seven places going to Nicaragua, Honduras, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Aruba, Guyana and Bermuda.
