Guyana under-17 batsman, Matthew Nandu stroked an impressive century upon returning to cricket over the weekend following a near 11-month absence.
Nandu led his side, Kaieteur International B, to an imposing 312 for three in 46.5 overs while the bowlers restricted Durham to 160 all out in 37 overs in the Scarborough Cricket League 50-over tournament at the Ellesmere Reservoir Park South, Canada.
Winning the toss and opting to bat Kaieteur’s opener, Nandu, hammered 146 from 150 balls. His inning was highlighted by three sixes and 15 fours before he was caught by Lincoln Mohammed off of Surendra Seeraj who finished with one for 42 from seven overs.
