As the 2020 edition of the biggest party in sport, the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) gears up to bowl off on August 18 in Trinidad and Tobago, members of the Guyanese franchise departed these shores last evening on a privately chartered flight.

This year’s tournament, which will conclude on September 10, will be contested at two stadiums behind closed doors to ensure the proper protection against the COVID – 19 pandemic in a “bubble-like” environment, one similar to what occurred during West Indies’ recent tour of England.
