Eight local players along with Assistant Coach, Rayon Griffith departed Guyana for Trinidad and Tobago on Monday night.
Among the players were all-rounder Keemo Paul and batsman Shimron Hetmyer. Hetmyer and Paul raised a few eyebrows when they opted not to tour England with the West Indies team recently because of the Coronavirus pandemic.
However, the two stars have decided to participate in this year’s CPL tournament as the Amazon Warriors, beaten finalists last year, look to bring home the coveted bacon.

These Guyanese will join the rest of the Warriors team ahead of the Caribbean Premier League which runs from August 18 to September 10.
