The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) is currently looking for eight COVID-19 case tracking consultants, who will be expected to work within the various regions of the country.
The selection of consultants will be based on qualifications and relevant experience in keeping with the demands of the position. The Health Ministry of the previous government had been criticised for not taking more stringent efforts for contact tracing in relation to COVID-19 positive cases.
According to an advertisement in yesterday’s edition of Stabroek News, the Government of Guyana has received financing from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the United States to assist with the country’s COVID-19 response.
