Twelve Brazilians charged with illegal entry

The twelve Brazilian nationals who were intercepted while en route to Linden have been remanded to prison after being charged with illegal entry.

The twelve Brazilians, ten men and two women, appeared before Magistrate Wanda Fortune at the Linden Magistrates’ Court yesterday when they were read the charge which states that on July 30, 2020, they illegally entered Guyana. After they all denied the charge, they were remanded until their next hearing on August 19.
