A Bourda Market labourer was fatally stabbed yesterday morning after being involved in an argument over the sale of a construction net.

The dead man has been identified as Ovid Chester called ‘Bruckie’ or ‘Wannie’, 52, formerly of Vryheid’s Lust, East Coast Demerara. Police yesterday said that the man usually resides in the vicinity of Bourda Market.

Regional Commander of Region Four ‘A’, Assistant Commissioner Simon Mc Bean, yesterday told Stabroek News that from preliminary investigations, Chester was stabbed by a 51-year-old male, a farmer of Block 22, Wismar, Linden.
