Cricket West Indies (CWI) has crafted a coaching agenda as a result of the ongoing global pandemic to ensure the fundamentals of the sport continues to be taught.
CWI in a release, informed the general public that it launched an online coaching programme, the first of its kind to ensure the development of players and coaches.
“Cricket West Indies (CWI) has this week launched its first virtual Coach Foundation courses as part of the long-term “Cricket First” strategic plan in building coaching skills around the region through the new Coach and Player Development Pathway,” the release said.
It added: “Four consecutive foundation coaching courses, updated and modernised to align with CWI’s development.
The programme, which began on Monday and will conclude today, is expected to attract over 70 contracted players across the region.
