For a second consecutive day, the Ministry of Health (MoH) announced that two persons who were infected with the coronavirus disease died while receiving treatment at a medical facility.
The two deceased are an 83-year-old woman and a 52-year-old man from Region Four. According to the statements that were issued by the Ministry, samples were taken from both patients at the time of admission to the facility. The deaths would’ve occurred after 3 p.m. yesterday afternoon.
The total number of deaths in the country has increased to 62.
Meanwhile, the daily COVID-19
dashboard that was posted on the Ministry’s Facebook page revealed that 43 new COVID-19 cases were recorded yesterday. These cases were detected from the 152 samples that were tested yesterday.
The dashboard also revealed that 7 of the new cases are from Region One, 1 from Region Two, 3 from Region Three, 25 from Region Four and 7 from Region Seven.
As a result the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country have now increased to 2,027. Of these cases, 998 are males and 1029 are females.
Additionally, it was revealed that 65 persons are in institutional isolation, 584 persons in home isolation, 81 persons in institutional quarantine and there are still 16 persons in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The total number of recovered cases remains at 1,302.
