Feroz Mohamed, the contractor who struck and killed a fish vendor while driving along the Zeeburg Public Road, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
Mohamed, 44, of 571 Zeelugt New Housing Scheme, East Bank Essequibo, appeared before Magistrate Zamilla Ally-Seepaul at the Leonora Magis-trate’s Court on a charge that he caused the death of Somatti Persaud, 39, last Saturday.
Mohamed, who was represented by attorney Bernard DaSilva, was subsequently granted bail in the amount of $200,000 and matter was adjourned until November 5th.
