The Transport and Harbours Department (T&HD) has issued a revised schedule for the Parika/Bartica ferry service to take effect from Monday, October 5th.
According to a Ministry of Public Works release that was issued on Thursday, the new schedule was created after the residents of Bartica met with Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Governance Gail Teixeira, who also holds the portfolio of geographical Member of Parliament (MP) for Region Seven.
After discussions with the minister, the management of the T&HD was consulted with a view to revising the ferry service in keeping with the current review of COVID-19 measures. Subsequently, Minister of Public Works, Juan Edghill granted his approval and is advising the public of the new schedule, which takes effect from Monday.
The public is asked to note that this service will be provided every day except Wednesdays.
