The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has advised police to institute charges against one of the accused in the killing of Seon London, who was recently gunned down in Sophia.
A source told this newspaper that one of the two suspects confessed to the killing of London, known as ‘Gaza.’ He is likely to be formally charged today.
London, 27, was gunned down in ‘C’ Field, Sophia on October 17th.
According to a police statement, around 5.45 pm, London and his wife went to visit a friend at ‘C’ Field, Sophia. His wife subsequently left to buy food, leaving him and the friend sitting on a bench in front of the friend’s yard.
About an hour after, the police said while London and his friend were still on the bench talking, two suspects, armed with handguns, approached on foot and at a short distance away they both pulled out their weapons and shot several rounds which hit him.
The men then fled.
One of the suspects and another man, Kevin Mc Adam, 20, of ‘E’ Field, Cummings Park, had allegedly shot London in May at Cummings Park, resulting in him being hospitalised for a period.
McAdam was arrested and charged with attempted murder and is presently on bail, but the other suspect was never arrested, according to the police, who have said the case is presently pending in court.
