Dr Ashni Singh was this afternoon appointed as senior minister in the Office of the President with responsibility for finance.
The swearing in took place at the Office of the President. The PPP/C government had been without a Minister of Finance since taking office on August 3rd.
Singh was Minister of Finance under former President Donald Ramotar.
