Submissions were on Wednesday made by the prosecution in the case against former army Chief of Staff Gary Best, who is on trial for causing the death of cyclist, Jude Bentley, through dangerous driving.
During yesterday’s hearing in the case against Best, the prosecution laid over its response to the no- case submission previously made by Bentley’s attorney Nigel Hughes. Magistrate Rondell Weaver adjourned the matter until December 3, when a ruling will be handed down.
The charge against Best states that on February 8th, at Clive Lloyd Drive, Best drove a car, PRR 812, in a manner dangerous to the public, thereby causing the death of Bentley.
