A bid to avoid riding into a puddle has landed a 67-year-old fisherman in a hospital bed, and resulted in the destruction of a car and two trucks.
Rajkumar Parbhu, of Success, East Coast Demerara, remains a patient at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH), where he is nursing a fractured rib and injuries to his back, his feet and his head.
The police said as a result of Parbhu swerving to avoid the puddle, a driver, Imran Khan, 36 of Phase 2 Good Hope, East Coast Demerara, who was proceeding in the same direction along the Montrose Public Road on Wednesday morning lost control of his vehicle and collided with a parked truck. Both vehicles and another parked truck all caught fire and were destroyed.
