The Ruimveldt Lions Club of Festival City has rewarded five pupils from the community who excelled at the National Grade Six Assessment.
A release on Tuesday from the club said that this was done in collaboration with the local NGO, Centre for Guyanese Progress – GUYCARE.
The pupils awarded were from Tucville Primary, St. Pius Primary, South Ruim-veldt Primary, and West Ruimveldt Primary. The release said that they were presented with electronic tablets and other schools supplies.
A presentation ceremony was held on October 31 at the club’s den in Festival City. During the ceremony, Lions President Aretha Forde offered congratulations on behalf of the club to both the pupils and parents.
