Ministries yet to acknowledge funding proposals for Argentine investigators to probe Berbice teen murders – GHRA

The Guyana Human Rights Association (GHRA) has announced that it has reached out to the ministries of Home Affairs and Human Services to partner with it in financing a visit by a team of forensic pathologists from Argentina to assist the Guyana Police Force in resolving the recent murders of West Berbice youth Joel and Isaiah Henry and Haresh Singh.

Dear Editor, The irony of Joseph Harmon’s hurried congratulatory letter to American President-elect Joe Biden cannot be lost on all with knowledge of Guyana’s recent electoral travails, for it would seem President Trump will be replicating claims and legal manoeuvres made by the Granger/Harmon group.

GFF, UEFA collaborate on action plan

The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) in collaboration with the Union of European Football Association (UEFA), is working to develop a 100 day action plan which forms part of the latter’s ‘Bounceback’ Programme to pave the way for the resumption of sports activities.

27 more COVID-19 cases recorded

The Ministry of Health yesterday confirmed that 27 more COVID-19 cases were recorded from the latest results of testing, bringing the total number of cases in Guyana to 4,484 since the first case was confirmed here.
