27 more COVID-19 cases recorded

The Ministry of Health yesterday confirmed that 27 more COVID-19 cases were recorded from the latest results of testing, bringing the total number of cases in Guyana to 4,484 since the first case was confirmed here.

According to the ministry’s COVID-19 dashboard, 10 of the cases are from Region One, 10 are from Region Four, 4 are from Region Two, and there are 1 each from regions Three, Five and Six. The 27 positive results were returned from the results of tests done on samples collected from 382 persons.

In addition, it was disclosed that there are 11 persons in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit, 73 persons in institutional isolation, 753 in home isolation and 40 in home quarantine.
