The police are investigating the death of a 49-year-old man, whose lifeless body was found on a tomb in the Anna Catherina Cemetery yesterday afternoon.
According to a Guyana Police Force press release, the body of Sarwan Mahadeo, of Lot 39 Anna Catherina, West Coast Demerara, was discovered lying partially on a tomb in the cemetery around 2.30pm.
There were no visible marks of violence about his body.
The release added that the police were alerted and several persons were questioned but no useful information was obtained.
