A farmer was chopped to death on Friday afternoon at Cassie Creek, Baramita, North West District (NWD) and the police are on the hunt for his assailant.
Dead is Jonah Williams, called ‘Wammick’, who was a resident of Cassie Creek.
Police spokesman Assistant Commissioner Royston Andries-Junor yesterday said that Williams’ lifeless body was discovered lying in a trail around 3pm on Friday. Williams’ body bore chop wounds to his abdomen and left arm.
The Baramita Police Station was subsequently alerted and a team of ranks was dispatched to the scene.
Up to last evening, the suspect had not yet been held by police.
