President Irfaan Ali on Saturday congratulated US President-elect Joe Biden on his victory at the November 3rd general elections.
Ali said he looked forward to working with Biden on “critical strategic” matters including the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the text of the message released by the Office of the President yesterday.
“Further, Guyana looks forward to consolidating and strengthening our bilateral ties with the United States of America in the ensuing years”, the message added.
The US applied strong pressure on the Granger administration during the elections crisis here to accept the result of the recount of votes at the March 2nd general elections.
