Two elderly persons are the latest COVID-19 related fatalities, bringing the death toll to 137.
The two persons are said to be a male from Region 10 and a female from Region 4, both of whom are 74-years-old.
In addition to the two fatalities, Guyana has recorded 88 new cases of which 65 are from Region 4, according to the Ministry of Health’s COVID-19 Dashboard. Yesterday’s new cases are from 714 persons who were tested.
Other cases were reported in: Region 1 (5 new cases), Region 2 (1 new case), Region 3 (6 new cases), Region 7 (5 new cases), Region 8 (1 new case), and Region 10 (5 new cases).
Ten persons are patients in the ICU.
Guyana has recorded a total of 4,618 cases as of yesterday. So far, 23, 103 persons have been tested.
