COVID-19 under control in Region Two -Chair says

With only a few cases recorded, the Regional Chairperson of Region Two, Vilma DaSilva, has stated that the COVID-19 situation in the region is under control.

Thirty communities in Region Two have recorded cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) with Mainstay Lake recording the highest number since the region first detected cases of the virus.

As of Monday, the region had a total of 97 COVID-19 cases, which are distributed among Abrams’s Creek, Airy Hall, Anna Regina, Aurora, Capoey, Charity, Daniels-town, Dry Shore, Good Hope, Hampton Court, Kabakaburi, Karawab, Lima Housing Scheme, Lima Sands, Mashabo, Mainstay Lake, Maria’s Lodge, Middlesex, Onder-neeming, Perseverance, Pomeroon, Reliance, Richmond, Siriki, Suddie, Supenaam, Tapakuma, Vilvordeen, Wakapoa and Zorg.
