Three men from the East Coast and East Bank of Demerara were yesterday nabbed along the Corentyne Public Road, after they allegedly stole a quantity of local and foreign currency from an Upper Corentyne boat owner.
A source told Stabroek News that the attack occurred after the boat owner, 42, reportedly went to two commercial banks in the region yesterday and withdrew cash to pay his employees.
The man proceeded to the Number 66 Fisheries Complex, where he took some of the cash, while the remainder was left in a bag in his parked car.
