Dear Editor,
The Toshao and villagers of Great Falls Amerindian Village, 58 Miles Mabura, would like to commend the Guyana Geology and Mines Commission (GGMC) for its support of the hinterland communities by maintaining the Linden-Lethem Roadway. The current maintenance programme has reduced the time to drive from Linden to 58-Miles, Mabura from six hours to one-and-a half hours, providing great relief for the villagers and road users alike.
We wish to compliment the contractor, MMC, for the excellent work on the road. Additionally, we wish to note MMC is always willing to assist the Great Falls Village with minor road repairs, and by purchasing timber bridge materials, providing jobs and improving the livelihood of the community.
Yours faithfully,
Nicola Daniels
Village Captain
