Guyana has recorded three new COVID-19 deaths taking the toll to 146, the Ministry of Health yesterday reported.
Those who succumbed are an 88-year-old female from Region 10, a 29-year-old man from Region Seven and an 89-year-old from Region Six.
Meanwhile, the COVID-19 dashboard confirmed that 40 new cases were recorded and seven persons are hospitalized in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit.
Region Four recorded 14 new cases, followed by Region One with 9, Region Three 5, Regions Seven and Ten, 3 each and Regions Six and Eight, one new case each.
Additionally, the dashboard stated that 78 persons are in institutional isolation while 886 are in home isolation. Fifty-seven persons are in institutional quarantine, the dashboard stated.
To date 4019 persons have recovered from the coronavirus with 5133 confirmed cases.
