A responsible knock from Rohan Mangal aced the chase to see RP Construction record a three-wicket win over WD Masters in the latest round of the Guyana Cricket Board/Tropical Springs Over-40 T20 tournament.
The Demerara Zone match up at Enmore Community Centre yesterday saw WD Masters winning the toss and opting to bat in overcast conditions and a damp outfield due to early morning showers. The Region Three side failed to capitalize on a good start and faded away to 95 for eight in their allotted overs. Legends replied with 96 for seven with five balls to spare.
Mangal piloted the chase with a masterful knock of 37 not out. Despite wickets tumbling at the other end, Mangal stroked three fours and a six, which was pulled over mid-wicket off of Ganesh Persaud in the 14th over.
