Guyana and Suriname today advertised for expressions of interest (EoI) in consultancy services for a feasibility study and for the design of a bridge over the Corentyne River.
The duration of the consultancy will be around 12 months.
In an advertisement in today’s Sunday Stabroek, it was stated that the bridge will span the river from South Drain, Suriname to Moleson Creek, Guyana.
The ad said that the project is a major priority for both governments.
The EoI will encompass consultancy services for the conducting of a feasibility study and preparing detailed designs for the construction of the bridge and approach roads.
According to the ad, the objective of the consultancy is to undertake a feasibility study including environmental and social impact assessments and prepare detailed designs, drawings, cost estimates and bid documents.
Consultants may associate with other firms to enhance their qualifications but should indicate clearly whether the association is a joint venture or a sub-consultancy. In the case of a joint venture all the partners shall be jointly and severally liable for the entire contract if chosen. The deadline for submission of the EoI’s is Monday, February 15, 2021.
Following the evaluation of submissions, a short-list of not less than three and not more than six will be drawn up and will be invited to submit technical and financial proposals.
