Region Six Chairman, David Armogan today stated that over $100M will be spent on remedial works along the Black Bush Polder road by the Ministry of Public Works.
“It will be remedial works throughout the entire Black Bush road”, Armogan said.
Residents of Black Bush Polder have been complaining bitterly about the main access road for some time now.
According to the chairman, a contractor has already been identified and is presently mobilizing to start works on the road. “I know the road is in a very bad shape in the Black Bush Polder area and so we have to do that”, he said.
Armogan noted that the region has undertaken to fix holes which are developing on the public roads throughout the region, while the ministry has been doing additional works. “We are trying to ensure that the road is safe”, he stressed.
He added, “We are going to make sure that we have a good policy of maintenance to ensure that these roads are kept in good condition”.
The Black Bush Polder road has perennially suffered deterioration necessitating massive rehabilitation works.
